At Yup Dot Com, we are excited about the new Internet.
Some call it “Web 2.0”, but we’ve been around long enough to know that Web 2.0 doesn’t adequately describe what is about to happen to the web. It is getting a complete makeover, yes, thanks to enabling users and developers with such technologies as journals, syndication, asynchronous in-line behavior, and remotely-controlled web-based interfaces, but the latest trends in web technology are something bigger than that: the emergence of a people’s Internet.
And, besides, the version number is way off—it’s more like Web 20.0. After all, the web, invented by Tim Berners Lee, was at first a relatively simple tool for displaying text, images, and links to other pages. We now have web-based rich media (videos, games, music players) as well as rich user interfaces that incorporate a variety of compelling features that make the user experience an enjoyable experience. Nowadays, a potential client’s impression of the quality of your business and products is directly related to the quality and experience of using your web site. And many clients are now looking for business sites to provide a sense of community and participation, all of which is now possible—almost mandatory—for users of the new Internet.

Yup Dot Com was founded in 1997 by Daniel Butler as a Internet Design and Hosting company. Mr. Butler received his Master’s Degree in Computer Science (with a specialty in Artificial Intelligence) at the University of West Florida, and has over 11 years of industry experience, including his position as senior Intranet and internal applications developer at WebMD Practice Services in Alachua, Florida. Daniel currently resides in Tallahassee, Florida, and contracts with other skilled developers such as graphic artists, programmers, and page designers when necessary.
We provide services to the communities of Tallahassee, Havana, Monticello, Quincy, St. Marks, Crawfordville, Midway, Wacissa, and Sopchoppy in Florida. In Georgia, we serve Bainbridge, Cairo, and Thomasville.
