A Bootable Live CD Running Ruby on Rails

Ezra Zygmuntowicz and Brian Ketelsen have produced a bootable LiveCD based on PCLinuxOS. They write:
Many people are curious about Ruby on Rails but don’t want to go through the pain of installing it locally. The Rails Live CD solves this problem by allowing you to have a fully operating Ruby on Rails development environment without even touching your hard drive! Others are interested in developing Ruby on Rails applications in Linux but don’t have the skills or the patience to do the installation and compiling required to get Ruby on Rails running on a typical Linux installation. Rails Live CD allows you to install directly to your hard drive and walks you through the process. No compiling or ./configure ./make ./make install dancing required.
Continue reading for more details, and a list of packages included.
They have already include the following applications, and are actively soliciting suggestions for additional packages to be included with the distribution. So far, there’s:
- Ruby 1.8.4
- Rails 1.1.2
- Capistrano 1.1.0
- Mongrel 0.3.13
- Rake 0.7.1
- Subversion
- MySQL 4.1.12
- MySQL Administrator
- RadRails
- KDevelop
- Kate
They have also provided a VMWare Player Virtual Appliance, which allows you to boot the LiveCD directly in your host operating system with the free VMWare Player.
Looks like an easy way for someone relatively new to Unix and/or Rails to try out web development under this new and exciting framework.

The link for “Rails Live CD Site” (http://www.railslivecd.org/) returns: 404 Not Found The requested URL / was not found on this server.
How can I download this to perform an evaluation?
It seems the developer is having some problems with his home server: “Unfortunately I had lightning damage at home 2 days ago and it destroyed the Linux server I was using both to seed the torrent for the LiveCD and serve the ftp link for download. I’ll offload the FTP process to one of the Macs in the house tonight and get another torrent client seeding the ISO as well.”
